You Are Pregnant, Not A Patient

Pregnancy is a blessing not suffering. Always be grateful to God for creating such a miracle within you. Life inside your womb. Only a woman can feel it. So never feel...

Pregnancy is good news, you must cherish it, nurture it and rejoice in it. This is the right of all pregnant women out there. All that matters in pregnancy is how you live it. Those 9 months should be a beautiful part of your life. You will remember it, miss it ahead.

I have an adorable two-year-old daughter Kashvi. When I was pregnant, I had few complications. Like low placenta, little bleeding. Most of my time went on bed rest. What I miss the most today is those 9months. How I had planned it, and how it went. I was admitted to the hospital in my 7th month because of the same issues. There the gynaecologist told me one thing " dear always remember that you are pregnant, you are not a patient." Her line made an impact on me. Post that I was in bed only when I wanted to be.

I took care of myself positively. I started the morning walk, yes I always had company with me. I made food which I liked and which my body would like. I started doing proper pregnancy shopping. I did a pregnancy photoshoot. I joined pregnancy yoga classes. I started going out to Malls, theaters, and gardens. This all of course with a proper precaution of travelling and companionship.

So, I don't want you, the beautiful pregnant ladies, to miss any of your time. Here I made a few points, I feel that must be glorified by any pregnant woman.

Pregnancy is a blessing not suffering. Always be grateful to God for creating such a miracle within you. Life inside your womb. Only a woman can feel it. So never feel it as suffering.

Pregnancy is the new life of the baby within you and the one who is carrying it.

Yes, I still remember Kashvi's first birthday. My mom called and wished Kashvi a happy birthday. And she wished me for the birth of me as a mother. I still remember her saying "Happy Birthday to you too Mumma." Those are the most touching lines for me. A wish from a mother to her daughter for being a mother.

Pregnancy will bring changes in your body, your mind and your soul.

Make a point to make positive changes. I have seen women's start worrying about their stretch marks, body weight, looks. Trust me if you follow a proper regime, you don't have to worry about anything. Just enjoy this time. For example, I used to apply coconut oil to my belly every day from the second month. I don't have single stretch marks.

Eating healthy food but that doesn't mean it's boring.

Healthy can be made tasty. If you have in laws in your house, you must have understood what I said. They will ask you to eat this and strict to some diet. They are not wrong but trust me you don't have to suffer yourself with unpleasant food. Nowadays we have so many options to make our boring food tempting.

Regular exercise will help you pre and post-pregnancy.

Yes, you heard it right. The more active you are in your 9months will help you get fit sooner post-pregnancy. Exercise doesn't mean, you have to do hardcore work out. A regular walk, breathing exercise and normal stretching. This all under the doctor's guidance. Talk to your baby every day.

I started talking to Kashvi when she was a pea-size. Don't get surprised. While doing an oil massage to my belly, I used to talk to her. I used to tell her how much we love her. How eagerly we are waiting for her. The result was, three days before Kashvi was born, my dad and I were going for a morning walk. I told him "papa, today I had a dream in the morning. I saw that I will have a baby girl and her name will start with K." I am not kidding or writing to impress you all. Trust me your child is equally excited to bump out and be in your arms.

Make use of technology

I have this habit of surfing everything, I am curious to know. The same I did with my pregnancy. I had installed a few apps as my pregnancy tracker. They help you with your diet chart, what size your baby will be and so on. I used to listen to the garbha sanskar too. Prepare a wishlist in your cart.

All thanks to the online shopping site. I did all the shopping for myself and the baby online. You must prepare your shopping cart for the 8th month. Post-delivery you might not have the energy in the beginning to do all the shopping. I shopped for a mother bag, feeding wrap, quick-dry sheets, feeding pillow and the list goes on and on. Trust me, pregnancy shopping is completely different from our regular shopping. Shop everything for you and your baby At The Mom Store.

The Photoshoot is a Must.

Pregnancy photoshoot is very trendy and yes it is an equally precious moment to capture forever. There are so many studios who do amazing photoshoots. If you can't outsource it then check out the ideas on the internet. You will get an ample amount of creative ideas. They are very reasonable and easily accessible to you. Don't think too much about the delivery process.

You might get some false alarm at the end of pregnancy. You should not start worrying about the delivery process. Remember, you waited for the whole 9months for this day. It will be the most memorable day of your life.

Hope this blog brightens up your pregnancy phase. I wish all the to be moms, a very cheerful and blessed pregnancy period. Always remember a happy mommy delivers a happy and healthy baby.
