In this pandemic scenario where everything is online. We all want to keep our toddlers busy with something creative, which includes their motor skills and brain development.

Hello readers, your writer Monika is back with one more experience. This time it is all about fun activity and creativity. So hope you enjoy this and try it with your toddler.

In this pandemic scenario where everything is online. We all want to keep our toddlers busy with something creative, which includes their motor skills and brain development. As you all know my daughter Kashvi. She is a pack of energy. Sadly, due to lockdown, we cannot utilize her energy in the correct direction fully. So we decided to divert her energy into something that she enjoys and even we are comfortable doing it. I ordered a few coloring books online and started exploring different fun methods of coloring.

Sponge Coloring

Try out these simple activities. Your child will love it. Take a plate, pour some small quantity of fun color and dip the sponge piece. Now introduce this method to your toddler. Dip the sponge on a color plate and paste it on the coloring page. You can take a blank white page.

Finger Painting

Kashvi loves this one. Draw some flowers and color your child's thumb and ask her to stamp them on the petals. You can make fish or butterflies. These are fun color activities .

Palm painting Just like thumb painting, you can do palm painting. If you want, you can use palm painting on a t-shirt. Use fabric paint and color your palm and your kid's palm. Stamp it on a t-shirt or bag. You can make it for you, your husband, your child. Your child will love it.

Fruits and vegetable Stamps

Another fun and non- expensive way of coloring. You can use okra, broccoli, apple, orange, lemon, and so on. The kitchen is all yours, so are the ideas. Explore your side of food coloring creativity with your child.

Buds painting

Earbuds are easily accessible at home and are safe for your child too. You can use earbuds for dot painting. You can create a tree, flowers, fish anything with this. Make more colorful objects, so that your child will find it attractive.

Thread painting

You can try this painting method too with your busy toddler. Make sure you use soft thread so that it doesn't harm your child's finger. Take your color plate and dip the thread in the color. Now ask your child to place the thread randomly in between the coloring books. Hold another side of the thread in your hand. Now you both pull it out together. Open the books and see the different shapes you and your child created. You can use multiple colors to make it more striking.

You can use a painting brush if you want or stamps of different shapes and sizes.

Precaution

  • Everything should be done under adult supervision.
  • Don't use anything which has sharp edges which can harm your child.
  • Place a rough cloth or newspaper below to avoid any mess.
  • Keep a rough cloth handy to wipe your child's hand or floor.
  • Wear an apron for your child and yourself. This will save your cloth from getting colorful. I hope you know what I mean.
  • Keep your child equally involved in the activity.

Benefits

  • These types of toddler activities improve the child's motor skills and differentiation between primary colors .
  • You will spend more quality time with your child.
  • You can use these tricks to keep your child busy rather than getting cranky.
  • You will live your childhood again.
  • It is less expensive and easily accessible.

I hope you will try and enjoy it with your toddler.
